Liverpool transfer news: Salah Real Madrid raid amid police row

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly considering a shock transfer swoop to take advantage of a ‘delicate’ situation between Mohamed Salah and Liverpool.

As has been noted by Sky Sports, Salah is in trouble with his club as the Reds report him to the police for appearing to use his mobile phone while driving.

It seems Madrid chief Perez is aware of the situation and eager to take advantage by trying to lure Salah to the Bernabeu, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish outlet suggests such a deal is unlikely, however, with the Egypt international largely happy with life at Anfield and not keen on playing alongside Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

The pair had a coming together in last season’s Champions League final that saw Salah go off injured early on, which denied him the chance of making a real impact in the biggest game of his career after the season of his life.

Salah scored 44 goals in all competitions, picking up the PFA Player of the Year award and Premier League Golden Boot prize in the process.

There’s no doubt the 26-year-old would be a superb signing for Los Blancos after they sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus this summer, but this is surely too ambitious a move for the club to pull off now.

For one thing, Liverpool would have to wait until January to sign a replacement for Salah as the transfer deadline for English clubs passed last week.
