Chelsea keep 6th consecutive clean sheet following Middlesbrough victory

Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside stadium keeping their sixth consecutive clean sheet in the process.

The Blues have now managed to shut out Boro, Everton, Manchester United, Southampton, reigning champions Leicester City as well as Hull City.

There have only been 10 occasions when a Premier League team has won six back to back games without conceding a goal – Chelsea are now responsible for half of them.

A run of six wins with 17 goals scored and none conceded has propelled the London based outfit into first place in the Premier League.

Diego Costa scored the winning goal against Boro to take his tally in the league to 10 goals and three assists.

The victory over Boro took Chelsea one point above Liverpool and Manchester City on 28 points.

Chelsea will take on rivals Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the London derby. Spurs beat West Ham 3-2 over the weekend and are currently the only team in the league that have not lost a single game.
