It’s fair to say that Watford ace Richarlison has made a surprise impression so far this season, and speculation suggests he’s attracted interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.
The 20-year-old joined the Hornets from Fluminense this past summer, and has gone on to score four goals while providing three assists in 11 Premier League games.
Given it doesn’t always initially work out for Brazilian players who make the move to Europe as it takes time to settle and adapt to their new surrounding, it’s certainly been an impressive start from Richarlison as he has been a key figure in Marco Silva’s team.
However, with that naturally comes the risk of attracting interest from elsewhere, and according to The Sun, that’s what has happened with Chelsea and Tottenham both said to be keen on the youngster.
It’s claimed that Antonio Conte was impressed with him during Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge last month, but given he missed some guilt-edge opportunities to secure a shock win for the visitors, it’s arguably not quite the best sample game to take into consideration.
Nevertheless, he was a constant threat to Chelsea throughout that game and it’s easy to see why he would have impressed. Looking at it from a more sceptical viewpoint though, perhaps he needs to prove himself over a longer period of time before he earns himself a move to a top Premier League club but it seems as though Chelsea and Tottenham are keeping tabs on him for now.
