Nigeria hosted Algeria in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Saturday in Uyo.
In the end it was two Chelsea players that got on the scoresheet for Nigeria as Victor Moses continued his fine season for club and country.
Whilst Jon Obi Mikel scored a rare goal to put Nigeria 2-0 up.
At Chelsea, under Antonio Conte, Moses has been re-born as a right sided wing back in the 3-5-2 preferred by the Italian coach.
For Nigeria, Moses plays in a front three and the Chelsea man opened the scoring on 25 minutes.
Much is made of Jon Obi Mikel rarely scoring for Chelsea, but he does have a better record at international level.
Jon Obi Mikel made it 2-0 just before the break, with the Algeria defensive line completely failing.
On loan from Spurs to Schalke, Nabil Bentaleb pulled a goal back for Algeria with 23 minutes remaining. It was an absolute belter! After good work by Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
In the final seconds of the game, Victor Moses grabbed his second for 3-1 Nigeria. The assist went to Leicester’s Ahmed Musa.
