Derby’s fine recent run under Steve McClaren continued on Sunday as they beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the Midlands derby.
The opening goal was an own goal from everyone’s favourite former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.
Forest pushed on for the equaliser but could not find a way past Scott Carson.
At the start of the second half, Nicklas Bendtner hit his own bar from another in swinging Derby cross.
Tom Ince made it 2-0 with a lovely lofted finish 10 minutes after half time.
Nine minutes later Will Hughes followed up for 3-0.
A great afternoon’s work for Derby who move up to fifth in The Championship.
Forest are stranded in 16th, just five points off the relegation zone.
