The World Cup qualifier was all but over as a contest by the 12th minute after the Azzurri had scored two goals in two minutes.
Italy’s opener came from Andrea Belotti, who finished from close range off a corner.
Belotti was the provider for Ciro Immobile to fire home the second, to continue his excellent scoring run for club and country.
Just after the half hour, Italy made it 3-0 as Antonio Candreva scored from close range.
And, a minutes before half-time the scoring was complete when Andrea Belotti scored his second from a Bonaventura assist.
Italy play Germany in a friendly on Tuesday.
Italy are unbeaten in their last 54 games at World Cup/EURO Qualifiers (40 Won, 14 Draws).
